On Thursday 29 June, Cllr Adeel Shah, portfolio holder for Community Development and Engagement, met with Citizens Advice East Hampshire to talk about their work in the district.

Cllr Shah said: “EHDC has worked closely with Citizens Advice East Hampshire for many years. They’re experts in finding solutions for residents who are struggling to access support.

“With rising interest rates and inflation high, there will be more people who need help to keep their heads above water.

“Recently, we’ve funded an outreach worker and specialist debt advisor through our welfare fund who can provide advice for residents in need.

“This meeting was a great opportunity to discuss their work and find out about the problems that residents are seeking help with. I look forward to continuing to work closely with them.”
