Residents attending Remembrance Sunday services in Alton and Petersfield will be able to park for free in East Hampshire District Council car parks this Sunday (November 8), as communities across the district come together to pay their respects.
Councillors from across the district will represent the council and lay wreaths at Remembrance services in their local communities, joining residents, veterans, serving personnel and community organisations in paying their respects.
Free parking will be available in council car parks in Alton and Petersfield on Sunday morning until 1pm, helping make it easier for people to attend local services.
Parking payment machines will be covered to make it clear that charges do not apply during the free parking period.
The RingGo app may still show the option to pay for parking, but you do not need to make a payment during these hours.
