Join Liphook Climate Action Network (LipCAN) at 6.45pm on Wednesday 23 September for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing at the Millennium Centre, Liphook.
The 50-minute film was produced by the Climate Coalition and is an edit of the 2-hour briefing to Westminster last November by nine experts on the impacts of climate change.
It will be followed by a facilitated discussion panel on the subjects raised by the film.
Councillor Robert Mocatta, East Hampshire District Council portfolio holder for Regeneration and Prosperity (which includes climate and environment), said:
“The People’s Emergency Briefing has now been shown in nearly 3,000 venues across the UK, including several in East Hampshire.
“It’s an important opportunity to discuss the impact of climate change and habitat loss on our country and the district, as well as what we can do about it.
“I encourage any residents who haven’t seen it yet to book a ticket and join the discussion.”
Admission is free. Over 16s welcome (under 16s may find the content distressing).
The film will begin at 7pm.
