Alton Health on the High Street
Every Wednesday 10-12pm at Alton Assembly Rooms, a free drop in session with a range of wellbeing, health and support services on offer.
Food banks, pantries and cupboards
Here are a list of local food banks, community pantries and community cupboards (to access a community pantry via a small membership fee).
Discount gym sessions for people on benefits
If you are looking for a discount on gym sessions, swimming etc and are in receipt of certain benefits, you can access a leisure card from the centre.
English language support and training
Online and face-to-face English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) courses and other courses such as Digital Skills in Alton and Havant, online ESOL introduction to driving theory and ESOL intro to job seeking in the UK.
You can search by theme such as preparation for employment and improving essential skills.

FREE Ukraine Permission Extension support webinars in Ukrainian
- Wednesday 15 October, 12-1pm. Registration closes 12pm on 8 October.
- Wednesday 17 December, 12-1pm. Registration closes 12pm on 10 December
During each one-hour webinar, there will be a short presentation and an opportunity for delegates to raise questions through a Q&A session.
Topics being covered are:
- What are the laws on Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme?
- What happens if UPE application is refused?
- If they don’t want to pursue UPE, what options are there – skilled worker, global talent, youth mobility, partner, parent, EU, student, and graduate visas.
- Asylum for Ukrainians
- UKVI’s position on asylum claims
- Advice on C3 leave

Ukraine Yoga with Jo

Creatful Ukrainian art classes
The weekly art classes are now taking place on Saturday mornings at 10-11.30 at St Laurence Church in Petersfield. Maryna offers you a warm welcome to these classes and they are free for Ukrainian families to attend.
