Woodlands Community Hall - ready to hire

Woodlands Community Hall in Headley Down is calling for new hirers after new decoration and a new direction.

Previously used by a local nursery the hall has now opened itself up for wider use as it looks to become a community hub for the surrounding area.

The hall, in Heatherlands, was redecorated before Christmas and is now ready to take bookings from classes, community groups and local organisations.

Set in the heart of the Headly Down community the building offers a spacious main hall, a meeting room, kitchen, toilets, access to the adjacent playing field and an enclosed, artificially-turfed garden.

Cllr Julie Butler, EHDC Deputy Leader said: “The hall is a fantastic facility and is perfect for mother and toddler groups, exercise classes, craft sessions, am-dram rehearsals or meetings.

“We are embarking on an exciting new phase in the life of the hall and one which will see it become a thriving centre for the local community.

“If you are looking for a venue for a community activity then get in touch with the hall’s admin team and ask about hiring.”

The main hall can be hired for £15 an hour, and the meeting room at £10 an hour.

The main hall holds 60 seats and has a fully-equipped kitchen and a separate meeting room suitable for up to ten people. It can be divided into two smaller areas with a partition wall. The hall has access for disabled users, a disabled toilet and car parking.
