To have your waste and recycling collected, you will need to provide the correct bins.

Your bins are your property, keep them safe from theft by placing your house number or post code on them.

All prices include delivery.

  • 240 litre - new, additional or replacement bin (£44.00)
  • 38 litre - glass box (£13.00)

Bins can be ordered online through your MyEHDC account.

We will not replace bins unless they have been damaged or destroyed by the collection vehicle (which does happen on rare occasions).

    Too much to put in your bins?

    If you regularly have too much glass or recycling, you can purchase an additional glass box or recycling bin, which we will collect from your home.

    If there are six or more permanent residents at your property, or you have qualifying medical reasons, we may be able to authorise an additional 140 litre rubbish bin (for £40) which you can purchase from East Hampshire Norse.

    PLEASE NOTE: New garden waste bins are currently unavailable while we prepare to expand the service. If you’re an existing customer and need a replacement bin, please call customer services on 01730 234295.

    Larger bins for communal bin stores

    Developers can purchase large (1,100 litre) communal bins and 240 litre glass bins.

    Delivery timescales

    Below are the current bin delivery timescales (updated 5 September 2023):

    • 240 litre bins (green, black and brown) - 6-8 weeks to be delivered.
    • 38 litre glass boxes - 10-week wait due to supply issues.
    • Communal bins (1,100 litre) - 8-10 weeks due to supplier issues.

    Please place your order and we will get the bin out to you as soon as possible.

    Terms and conditions for purchasing a new bin

    Replacement or additional bins

    There is no limit on how many additional recycling and glass bins a household can buy.

    Green general refuse bins can only be purchased to replace lost/stolen or damaged bins. If you require additional refuse waste, you may be eligible to additional waste capacity.

    If you are a household of six or more, or there is a resident with additional medical needs that produces non-clinical refuse then you may be eligible to purchase an additional 140 litre bin.

    All bins are the resident’s property and responsibility so please guard from theft, damage or loss.

    Cancellation and refunds

    Orders over £42 can be cancelled up to 14 days after delivery for a full or partial refund. To be eligible for a refund, your bin must be returned unused.
