Ahead of the start of food waste collections in East Hampshire on 5 October, our new food waste crews will be testing the routes over the next couple of weeks.
If you have got your food waste caddies, please don’t use them until the week before your first collection.
Collection day information will be available soon through MyEHDC - we'll send another bulletin when it is ready. Your collections may be subject to change as a result of route testing, so it will be worth double-checking your collection day on 3/4 October before collections begin.
The crews won’t be collecting food waste during testing; they’re making sure that the routes that are planned work properly and that homes can be accessed using our new food waste vehicles.
Get your caddies ready
If you’ve got your caddies, find out what to do before you start using them on our webpage. Distribution of food waste caddies will continue until the end of September.
Know what you can recycle
When you start using your caddies, make sure you know what can (and can’t) go in them. Look at the stickers on your caddies or visit our food waste page.
