Coronavirus update

Whilst coronavirus restrictions have caused some delay to progressing the Local Plan, the Council continues to move forward with this work. A news release has been issued providing an update on the way forward (June 2020).

The Council is currently considering timescales for the Local Plan. When dates can be confirmed for the key stages of Local Plan preparation, the LDS will be updated and published, and notification issued.

The timetable for which local development documents will be produced, in what order and when is set out in the Local Development Scheme (LDS).

It outlines the details and timetable to produce all documents that will make up the Local Plan over a three-year period.

East Hampshire District Council is the Planning Authority for those parts of the district that lie outside of the South Downs National Park.

This timetable applies to the production of the Local Plan for those parts of the district covered by East Hampshire Planning Authority.

The current LDS is set out below and was first published in January 2018 and amended September 2019.
