The housing and economic development needs assessment (HEDNA) examines housing and employment needs within East Hampshire.

The final HEDNA Report (2022) to support the emerging Local Plan has now been produced.

The council has also produced a technical note testing the standard method housing need for East Hampshire.

An updated Technical note has been produced as a result of the publication of 2021 Census data which provides an up-to-date view of demographic trends and also a consultation to the national planning policy framework (NPPF) in December 2022 which discussed possible changes to the data to be used in the Standard Method.

An Interim HEDNA accompanied the draft Local Plan in 2019.

Section 8 of this version of the HEDNA includes useful qualitative information on employment sites within the district, which will be updated in due course.
