Community facilities and local services are integral to achieving and maintaining sustainable, well integrated and inclusive communities.

The community facilities study 2024 provides information that informs the emerging local plan and the infrastructure plan.

It is also a point of reference for information for planning applications proposing the loss, gain or alteration of a community facility or for development site proposals that consider the inclusion of community facilities.

A Community Buildings Assessment is being prepared, which will replace the Community Facilities Study, except for the sections on health and education. As such, an update of the sections on health and education are available below.
