What we look after
We cut grass, trim hedges and maintain some public spaces across East Hampshire.
We also maintain some areas on behalf of Hampshire County Council (HCC). The type of work and how often we cut these areas is set by HCC. This means some HCC-owned land may be cut less often than nearby land owned by East Hampshire District Council.
If grass is overgrown, please check who is responsible for the land and report it through your MyEHDC account.
We have up to three grounds maintenance teams working across the district. Sometimes these teams are needed to support other important services, such as rubbish and recycling collections.
Grass cutting follows a planned schedule, but this can change depending on the weather.
Some areas are covered by a cultivation licence issued by Hampshire County Council. These areas are left to grow naturally and are not cut regularly.

Search for an address or location, then select 'show map categories' and choose 'grounds maintenance'. Areas maintained by us will then be shown on the map.

Weeds
Weed control on roads, pavements, grass verges and public open spaces is the responsibility of Hampshire County Council.

We have reduced our use of weed killer as part of our Climate and Environment Strategy. We only use it regularly at Woolmer Industrial Estate. We do not spray weed killer on roads, pavements, grass verges or public open spaces.
